Sidley Cricket Club Award Winners for the 2024 Season:
1st XI Batting Cup:
Johnathan Haffenden (444 runs; Highest Score: 111* against East Dean and Friston; average for season: 147). Eleven innings, 8 not out.
1st XI Bowling Cup:
Johnathan Haffenden (30 wkts; Best bowling 5-9 against Polegate & Stone Cross.
1st XI Fielding Cup: Jason Hurst.
1st XI Best Performance (Jack Crittenden Shield):
Craig Ramsden (9 overs, 5 maidens, 6-11 against Battle.
Ist XI Players’ Player Award: Sabbir Ahmed.
2nd XI Batting Cup: Peter Savage (11 innings, 393 runs; 84 high score against Herstmonceux). Peter also won the 1stCentral Sussex Cricket League Division 12 East (South East) Batting Award, presented by England’s Mark Ramprakash at the Annual 1st Central Sussex Cricket League Awards Dinner at the Grand Hotel in Brighton on October 25th.
2nd XI Bowling Cup: Andy Pearson (16 wkts. Best: 4-6 in 5.4 overs in the same game against Herstmonceux). Andy also won the Sussex Cricket League Division 12 East (South East) Bowling Award, presented by England’s Mark Ramprakash at the Annual 1st Central Sussex Cricket League Awards Dinner at the Grand Hotel in Brighton on October 25th.
