St.Peter's 4th XI 123 (38 overs) – 8 points
Sidley 126-7 for 7 (28.2 overs) – 30 points
Sidley had a comfortable win against St. Peter's 4th XI, having won the toss at Preston Park in Brighton and invited the home side to bat first. St. Peter's managed only 123 against some fine, accurate bowling by Craig Ramsden (2-9 off 6 overs), Trevor Ramsden (2-25 off 9 overs) and Ryan Poulton (2-17 off 4 overs). The only downside of the Sidley performance was that they gifted St. Peter's 26 extras - which turned out to be their top scorer.
Sidley made slightly heavier weather of the response than expected, losing Dane Capon, Dave Coveney Paul Oxborrow and Josh Bull all relatively cheaply before Craig Ramsden (14), Jacob McDonough (18) Cavan O'Connor (23 n.o.) and Ryan Polton (11 n.o.) saw Sidley home in the 29th over.
It was good to see Chris Milton taking an appearance for Sidley again and promptly taking a catch off Trevor Ramsden's bowling to dismiss the St. Peter's opening batsman.
