Heathfield Park 3rd XI 120 (42 overs) - 2 points
Sidley CC 122-1 (22.3 overs) - 30 points
Sidley continue to hold top spot in East Sussex League Division 10 after a convincing home victory against Heathfield Park. The visitors were invited to bat first, and, apart from T. Hall (49 n.o.), found runs hard to come by off steady bowling from Cavan O'Connor (2-18 off 10 overs), Craig Ramsden (1-11 off 7 overs) and Jim Stewart (2-18 off 8 overs) in particular.
Despite losing Simon Newstead cheaply, Sidley overtook the visitors' total without further alarm. Opening batsman David Coveney remained unbeaten on 45, and Theo Rimmer likewise on 39, demonstrating the strength of the Sidley early-order batting this season.
The team can look forward with confidence to next week's away game against Willingdon 3rd XI.
