Sidley Sign Star Overseas Player

SIDLEY Cricket Club has pulled off quite a scoop ahead of the 2008 Sussex League Division Two season.

Gullivers-based Sidley have agreed the signing of prolific batsman Elliot Bullock as their overseas player for the coming campaign.
The Australian comes on the recommendation of former Bexhill run machine Sam Roberts and boasts impressive credentials.
Twenty-one-year-old Bullock’s most eye-catching performance to date came in scoring 93 against a first grade attack featuring Test bowlers Glenn McGrath and Darryl Tuffey a year ago.
He also holds a club record for the highest average in Sydney under-21 grade cricket with 96.75 and was part of the national championship-winning New South Wales under-17s team in 2003.
What’s more, his coaching experience makes for good reading on account of the fact that he is currently training the Mosman under-16s side in the Sydney grade cricket competition.
Bullock was specialist coach at Sydney Grammar School for three years as well, and will be available for one-to-one and group sessions upon his anticipated arrival in mid-April.
Sidley finished in an excellent sixth place last term and hopes are high for similar success during the forthcoming summer.
