Sidley won the toss and managed to restrict the home side to a comparatively manageable total, (Jim Stewart 4-44) but the Sidley batting proved fragile on this occasion, and Mayfield merged as comfortable winners after only 25 overs. Only Josh Ball (49), Craig Ramsden (21) and James Mott (17) put up any resistance to some accurate bowling.
