Committee member Simon Newstead has set himself the target of running half-marathons on 3 consecutive weekends in order to raise much-needed funds for Sidley Cricket Club.
On February 25th he took part in the Headcorn half marathon and managed to finish a highly-creditable 117th out of nearly 370 competitors.
On March 4th he finished an equally-creditable 198th out of 988 in the Eastbourne half marathon.
This Sunday, March 12th, he takes part in the Lydd half marathon.
Please do support Simon in this fantastic venture to raise funds for the club. Sponsorship money can be given to Ian or Jenny, or perhaps brought to the net practices which start in April.
