John Buss's funeral service took place at Hastings Crematorium on Friday. It was a simple service of remembrance, with a celebration of John's life and some specially-chosen music. As one would have expected, there was a strong focus on John's passion for cricket. He had, apparently, played truant from school one day to go and watch Kent play a county cricket match! Fittingly, the service ended with Booker T and the MG's "Soul Limbo" - the Test Match Special theme tune.
It was a small congregation of mourners, led by John's sister. The following were there to represent Sidley CC:
Mark White, Ian Mollart, Ross Settles, Mick Reynolds, Chris Reynolds, Chris Hunnisett, Dave Morris, Peter Blatchly, Jimmy James, Robin Grimes.
