Crowhurst Park 3rd XI 125 (38 overs) - 15 points
Sidley 1st XI 125 (34.3 overs) - 15 points
Sidley and Crowhurst played out an exciting tie at Claremont School on May 11th. Crowhurst were invited to bat first and found progress difficult against some tight bowling from Steve Ramsden ( 3-20), Helen Hared (2-33), and Cavan O'Connor (2-11). In reply, Sidley moved comfortably to 43-0, with Cavan O'Connor (13) and Jamie Ramsden (29) scoring well, but wickets then fell regularly to reduce the visitors to 87-6. Mark Grandson (17), Simon Newstead (10) and Ryan Polton then moved the score on to level with the home side's total before Polton was caught at midwicket. Sidley 2nd XI 38 (19.4 overs) - 1 point
Rye 3rd XI 39-3 (13 overs) - 30 points
On the same afternoon, Sidley 2nd XI were dogged by bad luck in their match at Sandhurst Recreation Ground. Winning the toss, Sidley batted first, and it was not long before opener Trevor Stanley's cap flew off on his stumps while executing a pull shot off a short delivery. Later Sidley batsmen, some relying on form and technique from many years before, continued to suffer other misfortunes as they tried hard to post a workable total. The visitors got off to an equally shaky start, finding themselves 21-3 due to some tidy bowling from Trevor Stanley (1-14 off 6 overs) and James Mott (2-17 off 6 overs), before overtaking the Sidley total in the 13th over.
