Crowhurst Park 3rd XI 216-5 (37.1 overs) - 30 points
After last week's spectacular performance away against Burwash Weald, Sidley were brought back down to earth by a determined batting performance from the visitors, Crowhurst Park, who won the toss and opted to field first.
Against some tidy bowling, Sidley quickly found themselves 31-4 and 68-6, with only Craig Ramsden (20) and Dave Coveney (13) occupying the crease for any length of time. It was left to Jacob McDonough (41) and Cavan O'Connor (61 - his maiden half century), with support from Ryan Polton (28), to take Sidley on to a reasonably competitive 212-9.
Crowhurst Park found themselves on 84-3, but a fourth wicket stand of 89 helped the visitors to build a platform from which to attack the Sidley score, which they duly passed with 5 wickets to spare. Cavan O'Connor took 2 for 30, and there was a wicket each for Steve Ramsden, Craig Ramsden, and Trevor Stanley.
This result sees Sidley drop to 4th place in the league, but only 11 points behind Tunbridge Wells 4th XI, the current leaders.
