In their first match of the season, having lost the toss, Sidley ended up with a disappointing draw after setting their visitors a huge total. In response, Heathfield Park were never in with a chance of chasing down the Sidley score, particularly as they fielded only 9 players, but due to a very determined 28 by one of their youngsters batting at number 8, they managed to hold on for an unexpected draw. Man of the match was Sidley captain Craig Ramsden who hit a powerful 113, ably supported by Josh Bull with 62.
