Sidley v Bells Yew Green 3rd XI

Sidley:  201-8 (50 overs)
Bells Yew Green: 202-2 (30 overs)

Sidley compiled a commendable total against the league leaders, having been put in to bat, but it proved to be not quite enough.
Ian Mollart (33) played patiently to hold the innings together when Sidley were 44-3.

The scoring accelerated rapidly, thanks to some hard-hitting from Phil Bryant (57 - playing for the first time in three years!) and captain Josh Bull (91). Phil's innings comprised 5 sixes and 4 fours; Josh hit 14 fours and a six in his equally-powerful innings.

In reply, Bells Yew Green set off at a brisk pace, quickly reaching 100 due to some hard hitting from their number three batsman, after one of the openers had retired hurt due to a pulled muscle. The visitors went on to a comfortable win, having overtaken the Sidley total in 30 overs.
