A convincing win for Sidley!
Sidley 3rd XI - 216-6
Willingdon 3rd XI - 75
Sidley dominated this Sandrock match, having been put in to bat by the visitors. Ian Mollart and Simon Newstead provided a good opening stand of 39, with Ian eventually scoring 28 and Simon 21. Josh Bull contributed a useful 14, and Stuart Craig 17* at the end, but it was Craig Ramsden who held the innings together with a magnificent 102* - his highest ever score. Craig's innings contained ten 4s and two 6s. Such was the Sidley dominance that they were able to declare the innigs after only 39 overs.
In response, the visitors began solidly, with an opening stand of 36, but none of their other batsmen managed to reach double figures, due to the excellent bowling of Jamie Ramsden (6-33) and Craig Ramsden (3-26). Willingdon had only ten players and were all out in 27 overs. Craig was very much the man of the match, but well done to all of the team for another very focused performance.
Next week's match is against Glynde and Beddingham 4th XI (A).
