AROUND 50 people attended Sidley Cricket Club’s season-ending dinner/dance on Friday night.
They enjoyed a three-course meal followed by the presentation of prizes for the 2007 campaign at the High Beech Hotel, St Leonard's.
Dan Auer had his hands full by the end of proceedings after scooping three trophies, one of which was the first team Captain’s Cup.
The evergreen Tyrone Wildman collected the first team batting prize and the bowling equivalent once again went to the consistent Peter King.
Other notable winners were Becky Armstrong and Rachel Dangerfield, both of whom received additional mementos for their impressive performances.
Flowers were presented to Pam Bailey, Jenny Mollart, Jackie Ramsden and June O’Connor for their efforts off the field.

A very big thank-you to Ian and Jenny Mollart for organising the dinner, and to Ian for being the Cricket Chairman this year. I think we would all agree that 2007 has been an enjoyable season; games have been played in good spirit, and there are some promising youngsters coming up through the ranks. Particular congratulation must go to the 1st XI who showed just what can be done with an optimistic outlook and some determination. Now for 2008!
