After setting an impressive target of 222, thanks to a magnificent career-best 127* from Paul, aided by 48* from Ross, we were not quite able to prise out the last few Buxted batsmen. Unfortunately, one of their youngsters, who was dropped three times before he had scored a handful of runs, went on to score 76. Dan bowled 5 overs and took 1-19; Trevor took 3-37, and Andy 3-77. Hugh, who had not bowled seriously for 20 years, produced several impressive overs. Although we were a little disappointed not to bowl the opposition out, it did look at one stage as though we were going to lose the game, but over-cautious batting from the visitors towards the end ensured the draw.
