It was agreed to go ahead with a request from Mr Andy Hodder for use of the ground and the provision of refreshments for the Primary Schools’ Cricket Festival on Friday June 8 and Thursday July 19, 10am-2.30pm on both days.
Sussex over-50s/60s had asked if the ground was available on certain dates. The problem seemed to be a clash with boot sales. Mr Mollart to write a letter to the main club’s committee.
A questionnaire had been circulated by the club’s executive committee to all sections. Mr Pearson to complete.

3 FINANCIAL MATTERS
Still awaiting invoices for fixture cards.
Subscriptions had been coming in slowly. Need to speak to captains.
The third XI turned up for a home game only to find the wicket hadn’t been marked out. Mr Pearson to investigate.

4 FIXTURES
Hastings Priory had cancelled a scheduled Sunday friendly.
New friendly opponents St Luke’s enjoyed the company and ground. They had asked to stage some of their games at the ground and were willing to pay £40 per time.
The 2nd XI had acquired an umpire thanks to St Luke’s – payment £25 at home, £30 away.
The annual midweek friendly at home to Mayfield will take place on Wednesday June 27.

5 COLTS
The under-10s played their first game against Mayfield and everyone enjoyed it despite losing. Mr Trevor Ramsden was very impressed with Mr Phil Crittenden as manager.
Managers and helpers are to be Police checked in future.
Overseas player Manjot Singh couldn’t be faulted for his work in helping out with training.
Mr Ramsden thanked all for their help with training.

6 ANY OTHER BUSINESS

Mr Mollart agreed to write a letter to the executive committee requesting the cancellation of boot sales on the days of midweek matches.
A list is to be displayed about the availability of new shirts. Old ones are too tight and uncomfortable.
Mr Trevor Ramsden raised concerns over selection and the need to get everybody playing. Mr Mollart will sit in on selection meetings.
A flagpole had been acquired from Hastings Priory.
The need for swift completion of the outdoor net was stressed.
The Sidley Residents Association had asked the club to run an activity at its fete day on Sunday July 1.
