Sidley 3rd XI v. Tunbridge Wells Borderers

Sidley had the better of a draw in a hard-fought match. Simon scored 50 to get us off to a strong start with Andy, and Ross added 25 in a long, patient innings. We finished on 154-8. The Borderers started badly at 0-2, and seemed unwilling to chase the Sidley total hard, finishing on 123-8 at stumps. Craig turned in an excellent performance with the ball, taking 4-32 off 10 overs; Andy also bowled outstandingly well, taking 3-22 off 18 overs. Captain-for-the-day Neil certainly got an impressive, business-like team performance out of everyone. Many thanks again to John for umpiring so professionally at both ends.
